Estimators
Estimators - Prepare quantity and labor take-offs for both misc. metals and structural steel projects. Estimators will be required to interact with General Contractors, Owners, Engineers and Architects to obtain pertinent information required for project pricing, prepare estimates using FabTrol Steel Estimating Software, enter into contracts upon the award of projects, and inform and update project managers with all job information. The position requires 5+ years steel estimating experience and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications. FabTrol software for steel fabricators is favorable.

Project Managers
Execute and manage structural steel and misc. iron projects. Duties include, but are not limited to: organizing installation crews (outside contractors and in-house labor); coordinating schedules for material/equipment delivery and steel installation; implementing and monitoring construction budgets; communicating and coordinating detailers; reviewing and submitting shop drawings and submittals, corresponding with General Contractors, Architects, Owners and Engineers; attending site meetings; etc. The position requires 5+ years experience with Construction Management or Steel Construction. Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, as well as strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications. Proficiency with FabTrol software for steel fabricators is favorable

Assistant Project Manager
This position will provide management assistance and report to the Project Manager. The APM will be required to attend and participate in weekly production meetings; procure and write detailed job orders; procure and write erector job orders; write and issue change order requests; act as liaison between the Project Manager and subcontractors; maintain project schedules, drawing schedules and erecting schedules; ensure receipt of daily slips from subcontractors; manage projects in the absence of the Project Manager and other duties as assigned. Ideal candidates would possess a construction background, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and be detailed oriented and conscious of priorities.

Shop Jobs

Structural Steel & Misc. Metals layout
- Interpret shop drawings for layout of structural and Misc. members; Minor fitting and preparation of pieces to complete layout; Welding, grinding and torch-cutting. Minimum five years experience with welding and complex steel structures. Extensive knowledge of standard practices/latest editions of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the American Welding Society (AWS) Strong knowledge of geometry and algebra Drafting and design capabilities Good communication skills Ability to delegate responsibilities. Welding requirements: Stick, MIG, TIG, Inner-Shield, Dual-Shield

Fitters
- Check layout and design produced by layout person. Fit and prepare members per layout and design. Coordinate with welders. Assemble structure/component as prepared by Layout Person. Minimum four years experience with complex steel structures. Extensive knowledge of standard practices/latest editions of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and the American Welding Society (AWS). Strong knowledge of geometry and algebra. Drafting and design capabilities. Good communication skills Ability to delegate responsibilities

Welders
- Make Fit-Up preparations for welding; Assembling of parts (minor); Welding parts and structural components (i.e., beams, tubes, angles, plates, channels, etc.); Welding of Misc. Iron (i.e., railings, stairs, ladders, etc.); Grinding/sanding utilizing 7" and 4" hand-held grinder/sander units; Torch-cutting using oxy/acetylene torches. Minimum five years experience with welding and complex steel structures. Extensive knowledge of standard practices/latest editions of the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) and the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Strong knowledge of geometry and algebra. Drafting and design capabilities. Good communication skills. Ability to delegate responsibilities. Welding requirements: Stick, MIG, TIG, Inner-Shield, Dual-Shield

Laborers
- Wide range of tasks from the very easy to the potentially hazardous. Requires physical strength, some training and experience. Load, unload, identify, and distribute building materials to the appropriate location according to project plans and specifications.

Painters
- Prepare material for spray painting. Spray Painting with airless spray unit. Moving and handling of material with overhead cranes. Loading and unloading of material from trucks and conveyors. General sweeping and cleaning in plant. Grinding/sanding utilizing 7" and 4" hand-held grinder/sander units; Experience with overhead crane operations and material handling. Experience with spray painting techniques and the application of primer paints. Ability to organize and load materials. Good sense of plant housekeeping
